What Therapies Do We Offer?

This is the thing that sets us apart from most Chiropractic offices. Most Chiropractic offices will analyze every patient and almost always recommend some sort of therapy to aid them in the restoration and maintenance of their health and wellness. In some cases, a Chiropractor will prescribe a certain set of stretches or strengthening exercises for them to do at their local gym or even at home. What makes us different from those Chiropractic offices is the fact that we offer all of that in our office. We like to make our office a one-stop center for Chiropractic and Wellness.

The doctor will put together your very own personalized rehab exercise plan that you can work through right here in the office. That rehab program might include anything from manual stretches, stretching or strengthening on an exercise ball, or even something more advanced like our Whole Body Vibration machine or a specific program on our TRX bands. We have a rehab therapist in at all times who is here to help you understand and complete your program while motivating you along the way.

Hydromassage Beds are used to relax the muscles and alleviate the stress from your everyday life. Hydromassage Beds are recommended to every patient who recieves a spinal adjustment. It is very helpful with loosening up the muscles which in turn helps the adjustments hold longer and more efficiently. In our office we have 4 different Hydromassage Beds so there is hardly ever a wait to get on one.

Every massage is customizable! Each bed has their own remote controller that allows you to change which section of your body you want massaged, and the pressure of the massage as well.

Our Whole Body Vibration machine is one of the coolest things that we offer in our office. It has a platform that you will stand on as it rapidly vibrates your entire body. The vibration helps to work your muscles while you do some pretty basic exercises, like balancing on one leg for example, and in turn gives you a more intense workout in a shorter period of time. 10 minutes on the Whole Body Vibration machine will give you just about the same workout as 25 minutes of running.

There are different programs that the doctor will assign depending on your particular situation. We offer programs that deal with anything from just General Conditioning to Core Strengthening to General Balancing.

Cervical and Lumbar Traction can extremely helpful when dealing with neck and low back pain. With our Posture Pump technology we are able to help restore the natural curve to the neck and low back. With the proper curves in the neck and low spine, the spinal cord and nerves will not be pinched. This means less pain and more functionality.

Cold Laser Therapy is an excellent treatment that is often utilized to treat a wide array of conditions and pain. This therapy allows the body to naturally heal itself by utilizing a combination of electric stimulation and cold laser technology. This low level laser therapy consists of a light-emitting device that can be utilized on many different parts of the body.

In addition to simple back and neck pain, cold laser therapy has been utilized for a number of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis and sprains. The number of conditions that have been notably increased in the usage of this therapy include carpal tunnel syndrome, wound management, shoulder and neck injuries, muscle and joint pain, as well as a long list of others.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process. This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by helping the body to release natural relievers of pain often referred to as endorphins.

This is a great therapy if there is a spasm in a back or neck muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.

There has been much information in the media recently about the merits of spinal decompression. In order to appreciate the merits of the new technology, you must first understand the condition it treats.

Spinal decompression puts negative pressure on each disk, to alleviate the pressure and pain associated with compressed disks. When a disk is compressed, the disk material moves from its place between each disk, into the space occupied by the sensitive nerves. When the nerves become crowded, the patient experiences great pain and pressure. This pain is not alleviated by even the strongest of pain medications. Many times, the condition warrants the use of highly addictive medications, such as morphine to mask the pain long enough to give the patient some relief. Long term however, the risk for addiction increases, while the source of the pain is untreated.

Surgery attempts to treat the condition by shaving the part of the disk to create room for the material that is crowding the nerves. Spinal decompression eliminates the source of the pain, therefore eliminating the need for risky spine surgery and the subsequent months of down time post surgery.
